Hi I'm Alyssa Moore. I was born in Houston, TX. November 2nd. Yes a Scorpio! I have two brothers. One older and one younger... I'm in the middle. My dad moved our family to St. Louis, Missouri when I was very young. That is where I grew up and I spent most of my childhood. The midwest is a great place to grow up. The seasons make it so there is snow to play in during the winter and hot sunny weather for swimming and tanning in the summer.
I was never the popular kid. I was a late bloomer. I was a shy, funny little girl slightly nerdy and very awkward. I was never very comfortable in meeting new people. I did however have my first kiss in second grade! Then, just my luck, I got glasses in third grade and braces in 5th. Not fun! I also took classical piano and had private watercolor painting lessons. I really enjoyed both actually until I got older and then boys got to be more interesting! * giggling *
As time went by, my braces came off. I got contacts, started to develop and I became a lot more outgoing. When I started high school I had my mind made up I was going to be on the pom-pom squad! I tried out and actually made the team. Still, I was very shy I never really was out-going enough to run with the jocks and the popular kids. I had a good time though. I didn't go to many school dances. Most of the time I stayed at home but I got straight A's and I had a few close friends, most of whom where older.
I got my first taste of modeling at 15 and I loved it! I was a kid with her friends in a mall for a local newspaper ad. I didn't actively pursue modeling then, but I loved being front of the camera. I love it even more now!
Being practical and doing what my parents wanted I put everything on hold for school and finished with a bachelor's degree in business and marketing. But it just wasn't where my heart was though. I started to hang out with and more got acquainted with some talented photographers and started working again as a model and a stylist. I always enjoy the creativity that goes into making a great photo happen!
In my spare time I enjoy working-out, practicing Pilates and cooking! I love good food! If you can cook and you can make me laugh you will win my heart! I guess the cooking and the working out can go hand in hand, lucky for me! I haven't started my own restaurant, but that is something that I've thought about and is something that could happen in the future.
When I'm at home relaxing, I also enjoy shopping, and hanging with my friends and family. I've recently started dabbling in clothing/fashion design. Right now it's just for fun but as a long-term personal goal, I'd like to some day have my own clothing label. Currently I'm having fun working on my personal site www.alyssamoore.com. It's a lot of hard work and it keeps me busy. I hope to make lots of new friends along the way.
