Hi, my name is Shellie Sloan. I was born on March 12th and I'm originally from Tupelo, Mississippi. Currently I reside in Palm Coast, Florida.
As a little girl, I always wanted to act or to model, but I didn't think I had what it took. I had dreams and I knew if I just got my "big break" I could be on my way! I was somewhat of a tomboy growing up. I happened to be the only granddaughter out of 7 grandkids, and I was the oldest! I just really loved just getting in the mud , getting dirty and "rough housing"!
In my teenage years I have to admit I was pretty wild. But then again who wasn't ? Right? I DID what most teens do... I did things you're NOT supposed to do! *smiles*
I was raised southern Baptist, so as you would imagine my dad was very strict about everything. Yes, I was getting into,or in trouble most of my teen years. He wanted me to focus on my studies. So I put my "Hollywood" dreams on hold for a while and went off to get a degree. In 1999, I received a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from Belhaven College in Jackson, MS. I worked as a Financial Analyst for WorldCom, at their headquarters located in Clinton, MS.
I worked at Worldcom for three years in Mississippi. It was my third year there when the scandal broke with the accounting and finance procedures being used by executives. Due to the success of the "Women of Enron", Playboy decided to do a feature on the "Women of Worldcom". As a friendly suggestion, one of my coworkers told me that I should send my pictures in and try to do it. I laughed because I hadn't even done any modeling before. But I decided to do it and sent some images in Never in a million years did I think I would get a call back. I did however, and they flew me out for a test shoot. They were wonderful and made me look so beautiful and feel at ease. Afterwards, I was one of 11 girls featured in the December 2002 issue. From there my modeling career started picking up!
In my spare time I love to hang out with my family and friends of course, and my two beautiful Siberian Huskies! I'm also a big fan most sports. I was very athletic growing up so I love to play and watch! Football and soccer are two my most favorites!
Some of my other hobbies include reading, cooking and working out. I've recently started getting more into fitness training and nutrition and I'm looking forward into pursuing that along side of my modeling. |
